Located in the heart of Auckland’s CBD, the QF Tavern is a long-time favourite for locals and international visitors alike.

Regulars will have great memories of good times spent at our previous home of over 20 years, 131 Queen Street. There’s likely even some stalwarts out there who remember the pub’s early days on Vulcan Lane (then known as the Queen’s Ferry Tavern) when industry icons, Ros and Merle MacDonald, first held court behind the bar.

But now, while we continue to uphold the vibe, values and traditions of our legendary heritage, we’re happily embracing a bigger, better place to carry on those good times at 16 Wyndham Street.

So, while the years, and city progression, may have changed the location of our pub once again, our mantra has stayed the same - real pints, real people.

We proudly carry on the legacy founded by former publicans who previously held reign of QF Tavern. When you walk through the doors of the QF, you’ll still discover the hospitality and atmosphere of a quintessential Kiwi pub, which has been led by owners Alistair and Jyoti Davidson since 2015.

Our relaxed vibe makes us a central-city haven for anyone who wants to meet friends, have a dance, relax after a day on the tools, or catch the big games on the big screen. With a late licence, daily happy hour (4pm-7pm), great food, friendly crew and a loyal patronage who help make the QF the iconic place it is, we’re excited to make some new memories for the next chapter of the colourful QF story.

We’re saying cheers to another 20 years - come by and join us.
